Assignment 30A – Final Reflection
·
What sticks out to you as the most formative experience? The experience
that you'll remember years later? What was your
most joyous experience? What experience are you most proud of
yourself for accomplishing?
o
I
think what sticks out as the most formative experience were the elevator pitches.
For the first elevator pitch, I was admittedly very nervous because it required
me to put my self out there and show a side of myself that I did not even know I
had. After the first elevator pitch, they became very enjoyable experiences because
I had learned so much from the experience itself and the feedback I received from
other students. I am most proud of myself for accomplishing those elevator
pitches and it helped me gain more confidence in my abilities.
·
At the beginning of the semester, I mentioned that I wanted each of you
to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Now, at the end, do you see yourself as
an entrepreneur? Do you think you have moved closer to developing an
entrepreneurial mindset?
o after taking this class I have
realized that everyone is an entrepreneur. I think that the essence of the
human spirit is having that urge to create something new and fulfilling
unsatisfied needs in some way shape or form. I think that while everyone has the
potential to be an entrepreneur in a sense, I think it is also something that
you have to work towards and build if you want to be a successful entrepreneur.
I think that I have certainly moved closer to developing the entrepreneurial mindset,
I just have to go out, gain experiences and learn to deal with the eventual
failures I will have and turn those failures into successes.
·
What is the one recommendation you would make to the students who
are going to journey down this path in the future? What would you recommend
they do to perform best in this course? What would you recommend they do to
foster that mindset?
o
The
one recommendation I would have for students that are going down this entrepreneurial
path in the future is to learn to embrace failure. I think failure is absolutely
necessary to develop your skills and eventually be successful. I think for them
to do best in this course is to develop time management skills and try to think
like an entrepreneur when completing these assignments. To foster this mindset,
I think that the students just need to look at things from a new and wholly
unique perspective.

Hi JC! I was also very nervous to complete the elevator pitch assignments as I have never done anything like it. However, with the multiple times we did it I definitely felt more confident as I now had a good idea of what to expect. Having the positive feedback from classmates definitely helped and allowed me to get better every time. It is something to be very proud about. Good job this semester!
