Elevator Pitch No. 2

Reflection:
I was honestly surprised at all the positive feedback I received from my last elevator pitch. A lot of the comments said they liked my first idea. People said that I did a good hob of hooking people in with my opening anecdote. The feedback that I liked the most was that someone asked how my service was different from other services and they said I should try to differentiate from other services. I took this feedback to heart. This is true because what I changed based on my feedback was trying to come up with an idea that was more unique and an idea that I could differentiate from other ideas/ products.

Comments

  1. Interesting... so the idea is a peer-to-peer video game sharing service. I think I've heard of some similar subscription services. A few comments on the presentation, it was really hard to see your face with the light directly behind you. If there is any way to switch the orientation and get that light in front of you, that'd be awesome! You are the face of your product during a pitch, it's hard for your audience to connect with just a silhouette. Don't be afraid to show your face to your audience! Another point, be enthusiastic! This is YOUR idea. Have some pride in it and tell me why I should be proud of it too! Instead of telling me the nitty gritty as to how the lending works, tell me how you'll be raking in the dough. That's assuming I'm an investor, which it seems that's who you were addressing with this pitch.
I think my main comments can be summed up in two sentences:
    Be proud of YOUR product!
Tell me, the investor, about what I want to know... how secure is my ROI?
